Burlington Telecom

When you are building a website for a company that provides screaming fast fiber optic internet to one of the most tech savvy towns on the East Coast of the United States, you better bring your A-Game.

Burlington Telecom provides internet, television, and phone services to the city of Burlington, VT through their 100% locally owned fiber optic network.

With the tagline “Unmatchable City. Unmatchable Internet.”, they needed an Unmatchable Website, and that is exactly what they received.

The first step was to design a website that embodied the Burlington Culture. Unique graphic design elements allowed us to show the playful side of Burlington, while video integration gave us the platform to showcase the beauty of the city in the form of aerial videography. The combination of these two elements blend in a digital representation of the diversity that makes this city great. By opening the homepage strong, with a full width video background, the website is both impactful, and informative.

Beauty & Brawn

In addition to a design that matched the personality of such a diverse city, the technology behind the Burlington Telecom website needed to be stable, and responsive.

Built on the foundation of a cutting edge server, with a state-of-the-art content delivery network, and caching system behind it, the Burlington Telecom website is one of the most advanced sites that we’ve developed to date.

One piece of functionality that we are particularly proud of is the homepage banner navigation box. This navigation is a multi-tiered system that allows the customer to drill down to exactly what they are looking for before they leave the homepage. We even threw in a few “Easter Eggs”; if a custom chooses certain selections, instead of being taken to a corresponding page, we open a floating video box with a goofy video. The purpose you ask? Simply to make their customers smile!

There is much more behind this website that we haven’t covered in this brief overview. Feel free to go check it out. We’d love to know what you think!
