VREC wanted a modern web design that would be appealing to both pet parents and general practice veterinarians, from whom they get most of their referral business.
Two things were important
- Easy to edit and update – The hospital administrator takes a real hands-on approach. She wants the ability to add content herself, and allow staff limited editing ability.
- Expandable functionality – They recognize as veterinary technology advances, their website could be a highly functional part of their business. Online billing, sharing of records and x-rays with other vets, and personalize record keeping for pet parents are elements that they want to add later, but currently not part of their budget.
WordPress was a great solution because of its easy-to-use interface on the backend, and its expandability.
Michael Rapino, the project director, created a beautiful design that’s modern and sophisticated yet with lots of animal photography for that warm fuzzy feeling that many pet parents appreciate.
Mediastead worked in tandem with VREC’s advertising agency that had created many of their print pieces. The website wasn’t identical, but was clearly the next evolution of their brand.
Visit their website at www.VRECPA.com, and if you have a pet that’s in distress, they are the best in the business.
